Digital Time Slips User Manual

Use this guide to create an account, view matched timing slips, read messages, and use Pro Stats, Parts, and Practice Tree.

Account Setup

Digital Time Slips gives each racer a private Racer Pit account. Your timing slips appear when an approved account racer number matches the number printed on the slip.

  1. Open Sign Up.
  2. Enter your name, email address, password, and racer number.
  3. Submit the signup form.
  4. Open the verification link sent to your email.
  5. Sign in from the home page or login page.
  6. Upload a clear front-of-car photo showing your racer number when requested on the Dashboard.
Plan note: New racer accounts start on a Pro trial. Pro accounts can claim up to 3 racer numbers. The first racer number needs approval; after the account has one approved racer number, additional numbers are trusted automatically.

Password Reset

If you forget your password, use Forgot Password on the sign-in page or open /forgot-password/.

  1. Enter your account email address.
  2. Open the password reset email.
  3. Use the reset link within 1 hour.
  4. Choose a new password with at least 8 characters.

Reset links can be used once. Completing a reset clears active sessions for that account.

Racer Number Photo Verification

The Dashboard and Settings show photo proof status for racer number claims that still need approval. Upload a clear picture of the front of your race car where the claimed number is visible.

  • Take the picture close enough that the racer number can be read.
  • Stay far enough back to see most of the car.
  • Accepted formats include JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, and HEIF.
  • The photo must be 10 MB or smaller.
  • After upload, the photo waits for staff review.
  • Staff approve the photo when the racer number is visible and matches your account.
  • Pending review photos can be deleted so you can upload a better photo.
  • Approved photos mark the claim approved.
  • Rejected claims stop showing slips until staff correct the racer number.
  • After your first racer number is approved, additional Pro racer numbers added from Settings are trusted automatically.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the main time-slip list. It shows matched slips for your approved racer numbers and lets you filter by available race date or season when your plan allows it.

  • Use the date selector to switch race days.
  • Click anywhere on a run row to open the full timing slip.
  • The green racer-number badge beside the page heading shows the approved racer numbers currently available to the account.
  • Use the photo verification area to upload and check racer-number proof status.

Printed Slip Popup

Clicking a run opens a receipt-style timing slip. The popup keeps the real printed-slip layout, including the captured header, timing rows, and footer.

Values may include dial, reaction, 60 foot, 330 foot, 1/8 ET, 1/8 MPH, 1000, 1/4 ET, 1/4 MPH, margin, class, round, run number, date, and time when those fields were present on the captured slip.

Use Close to return to the page. Use Print when you need a paper copy.

Racer Messages

The MSG indicator appears in the top menu on racer pages.

  • Green means there is no unread message.
  • Blinking red/white means a message from The Zoo Master is available.
  • Unread messages pop up automatically when signed in.
  • Click MSG to review unread racer messages, newest first.
  • Use Mark as read after reading. Read messages leave the default view and the indicator stops blinking.
  • Use Show read messages when you need to review older read messages.

Pro Stats

Pro Stats are calculated from your timing slips. Use filters to view one date, a date range, a season, or all available slips. If more than one approved racer number is on the Pro account, use the Racer # filter for All Numbers or one specific number.

Wins Left / Right Win vs Loss Best Reaction Time Best Package Intervals

Summary

The Summary shows wins by lane, win vs loss totals with win percentage, best reaction time, best 60 foot, best 1000, best 1/8 ET, best 1/8 MPH, best 1/4 ET, and best 1/4 MPH. Use the lane selector to switch most stats between left and right lane. Wins always stay split as left / right, and TT/Test runs are excluded from win and loss totals.

Best Package

Best Package uses winning, non-testing runs. Breakouts and negative reactions do not qualify. Package equals reaction time plus the amount over dial. A run exactly on the dial has a zero over-dial value.

Runs Used

The Runs Used section lists the runs included by the selected filter. Click a row to open the slip. Red parenthesized values are interval times to help diagnose the run.

Pro Parts

Parts helps you track runs on tires, engines, oil, transmissions, or any other part.

  • Create parts from Settings.
  • Choose which approved racer number the part belongs to when the part is created.
  • Add editable notes to each part.
  • Count runs for that part's racer number since the selected count-from date.
  • Reset a counter when the part is replaced or serviced.
  • Use Revert after an accidental reset.
  • Review reset history and add notes to each history line.

Practice Tree

Practice Tree is available to Pro Digital Time Slips accounts and to standalone Practice Tree accounts. Pro DTS racers use their approved DTS racer number. Standalone Practice Tree users get a system-assigned tree racer number, can use the tree app, and are not asked to upload a car photo for Digital Time Slips racer-number verification.

  • Tap once to pre-stage.
  • Press and hold to stage and arm the tree.
  • Release after green to record a reaction time.
  • Releasing before green records a red light.
  • Set Delay Seconds when you want the trainer to add a box delay after release.
  • The 20, 50, and 100 tabs show top 10 averages for racers who have at least that many green hits.
  • Leaderboards show racer numbers only.

Settings

Settings is where Pro users manage racer-number verification details and tracked parts. The first racer number needs approval; after the account has one approved racer number, additional Pro racer numbers are trusted automatically.

When adding a part, choose the approved racer number, add the part name, choose a count-from date, review the created date, and update notes when needed.

Created dates are shown as month/day/year without the time.

Support Information To Provide

When asking for help, include the account email, racer number, race date, run number if visible, and a short description of what looks wrong.

If slips do not appear, confirm the racer number, selected date, email verification status, and racer-number proof status. If Stats look empty, confirm the account is Pro and that the selected filter includes matching slips.
